Description

Applications
Silicon carbide bushings and seals/sealing rings are widely used in machinery, metallurgy, petrochemical, power, light industry, shipbuilding, aerospace, automobile, military equipment and other fields, such as mechanical seal friction parts, sliding bearings, nozzles, cutting tools, etc. of automobiles, bearings, pumps, oil cylinders. It is a commonly used chemical pump sealing material in chemical production enterprises.
Advantages
1. Sufficient strength and rigidity. Under working conditions, it does not damage the bushing/seal/sealing ring, has minimal deformation, and can maintain sealing even under fluctuating working conditions.
2. Good tribological properties. It can maintain good lubrication performance and good boundary lubrication performance of the fluid film, ensure that the sealing ring end faces are always in contact and can continue to operate when rotating, and ensure satisfactory service life under working conditions.
3. Good thermal conductivity, heat resistance, and heat shock resistance. During operation, the bushing/seal/sealing ring are at a relatively high working temperature, and there may also be rapid temperature changes. Silicon carbide sealing rings have high thermal conductivity and small linear expansion coefficient, and do not crack when subjected to thermal shock.
4. Good corrosion resistance. A bushing/seal/sealing ring with good corrosion resistance can resist the corrosion and wear of fluids, resulting in a long working life. In addition to the above performance, it also has low density, low permeability, and good self-lubricating properties.
